Dr. Julia Jaikin

"One small act of kindness can go a long way. We might not remember the faces of people we have helped, but they will remember our kindness forever. Helping is even contagious. It can spread. As one person helps another, it can uplift others to go and help people themselves."

Discovering Her Passion

Growing up, Dr. Julia always knew that she wanted to spend her life helping people. She was a multi-sport athlete and played soccer in college, consequently suffering from multiple concussions. During her freshman year, she suffered from debilitating migraines. After two years of neurology visits, MRI's and numerous medications, her migraines were still present. Dr. Julia's mother wasn't satisfied with the results of the current treatment plan. She would spend hours researching, trying to find her daughter answers. Eventually, her mother brought her to a chiropractor. After two months of chiropractic treatment, Dr. Julia was completely migraine free. From that day forward, Dr. Julia knew exactly what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. After experiencing the shortcomings of the medical field first hand, Dr. Julia fell in love with the alternative, non-pharmacologic approach of managing pain.

Changing Lives

Dr. Julia is a reputable and nationally-recognized chiropractor. Her career began in 2019 when she accepted a position at the Rochester Veteran's Hospital, working side-by-side with neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, physical therapists, neurologists and numerous other specialities. This opportunity provided her with the training she needed to manage complex spine cases and other musculoskeletal complaints. While working in the hospital, Dr. Julia realized that when Doctors of Chiropractic and Medical Doctors collaborate as equals with other health care providers, patient outcomes and quality of care improve tremendously.

Dr. Julia eventually moved back home to Utica, NY and founded Central New York Spine and Rehab in August of 2021. She is thrilled to provide holistic, customized care to those enthusiastic about enjoying all of the activities this part of the state has to offer.

Away From the Office

When she's not at work, Dr. Julia enjoys spending time with her amazing fiance, Daniel, their family and their friends. If you know her at all, you know that her parents are the most important people in her life. Outside of the office you will never find Dr. Julia without her Golden Retriever, Finnegan whom she adopted from the Herkimer County Humane Society in 2021. She enjoys hiking, sailboating and spending time in the Adirondack mountains. Most recently, she took up golfing (you won't see her on the LPGA tour anytime soon). Dr. Julia's life goal is to hike the Appalachian Trail.
